CD Tenerife defeated UD Añaza 2-0 in the fourth round of preseason. The match, played at the Ciudad Deportiva Javier Pérez, saw Iván Chapela score both goals in the second half, securing the victory for the home team. Coach Álvaro Cervera took the opportunity to give minutes to players with fewer opportunities.
During the first half, CD Tenerife struggled to create clear scoring chances. UD Añaza, newly promoted to the Tercera División, showed good ball movement and had dangerous approaches, including a free-kick taken by Marc Mateu and a chance for Acaymo. The first half ended with a goalless draw.
In the second half, CD Tenerife made changes, including the introduction of Dani Fernández, who assisted Iván Chapela for the first goal in the 58th minute. UD Añaza responded with a notable play that almost resulted in an equalizer. Later, Chapela scored again in the 81st minute, sealing the definitive 2-0.
The white-and-blue team thus completed their fourth preseason stop. CD Tenerife's next match will be against Cádiz in the Trofeo Teide.
