The 2026 summer season brings a significant improvement in Tenerife's air connectivity, with new routes and increased frequencies to national and international destinations.

Tenerife's airports, both North and South, are preparing for an expanded flight offering during the summer of 2026. Several airlines have committed to strengthening the island's connectivity with the mainland and Europe, introducing new destinations and increasing frequencies on existing routes.
The Tenerife Island Council highlights that this improved connectivity will diversify source markets, attract visitors year-round, and offer more travel options for residents. New connections are being added to cities in Italy, Romania, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Sweden, along with reinforced links to Madrid, Asturias, Valencia, and Vigo.
Regarding mainland connections, Iberia Express will increase its daily flights between Madrid and Tenerife's airports to 74 weekly. The connection to Asturias will be operated by Binter Canarias and Volotea six days a week. Air Europa and Binter Canarias will boost flights to Valencia, while Binter Canarias will offer daily flights to Vigo. Connections to Valladolid, San Sebastián, Granada, Pamplona, Murcia are maintained, and flights to Seville and Badajoz are added.
On the European front, Tenerife will be connected to major cities such as Paris, with Air France flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. The Portuguese capital, Lisbon, will also see its connectivity expanded with up to four weekly frequencies thanks to TAP Air Portugal.
In addition to these summer additions, the Island Council anticipates continued growth in connectivity. Starting in the autumn, the first direct flights from Air Canada to Toronto and Montreal are expected. For the winter season, Air Serbia will inaugurate a connection to Belgrade, and airBaltic will launch routes to Ljubljana, Liège, Palanga, and Groningen.
