The parking restrictions, which will come into effect at 00:05 on June 12 and will remain until the event concludes, will affect numerous streets in the capital of Tenerife. A notable exception is the parking area on the inner platform of the Avenida Marítima, where the flea market is located, which will be closed to vehicles from 15:00 on June 7.
The removal of parking will apply to Avenida Tres de Mayo, in the upward direction, from the Glorieta Manuel Bethencourt del Río to the Turboglorieta del Rotary Club, with the aim of creating an exclusive bus lane. Parking will also be prohibited on Calle Áurea Díaz Flores Hernández, on the left side towards Avenida Tres de Mayo, and near the Colegio La Salle, the planned location for the pontiff's vehicle change.
The papal route will involve a parking ban on both sides of Calle Leoncio Rodríguez, as well as on the left side of Calle Cervantes (adjacent to Plaza Poeta Luis Feria) and on the right side of Calle José Rodríguez Ramírez. The prohibition will extend to Calle Méndez Núñez, Calle El Pilar, Calle Villalba Hervás, Calle La Marina, and Plaza del Cabildo.
In the area near the port, the Avenida Marítima (Cabildo side), Plaza de Europa, the Hacienda building, Calle Adán Martín Menis (between Celia Cruz and Avenida de la Constitución), Calle Vicente Álvarez Pedreira, Calle Ermita de Regla, Calle Víctor Zurita Soler, and Avenida José Martí will also face parking restrictions starting from 00:05 on June 12.
Additionally, the parking at Parque Marítimo will be designated for authorized vehicles and PMR (Persons with Reduced Mobility), as well as buses. Parking at the Palmetum, the Intercambiador esplanade, and the dirt parking area of the Recinto Ferial will also be affected by the prohibition.
Outside the direct area of the papal visit, parking will be removed during the same hours around the National Police Station, including the sides of the building on Calle Robayna, Calle Jesús y María, and Calle Pérez de Rozas. Furthermore, parking is prohibited on Avenida Bravo Murillo (between Calle José Manuel Guimerá and Avenida San Sebastián) and on Calle José Manuel Guimerá (between Glorieta Tres de Mayo, El Cabo, and Bravo Murillo), in the area of the Government of the Canary Islands Presidency.
