Storm 'Therese' has caused an estimated 33.3 million euros in damages in Tenerife, primarily impacting the island's infrastructure and natural surroundings.

The Cabildo de Tenerife has conducted a preliminary assessment of the devastation caused by storm 'Therese' on the island. Provisional calculations place the cost of damages at approximately 33.3 million euros, with infrastructure and the natural environment being the most affected areas.
The island's president, Rosa Dávila, and the Minister of the Presidency, José Miguel Ruano, informed the media about this estimate. Both emphasized that the island intends to apply for funds from the 'Declaration of an Area Seriously Affected by Civil Protection Emergencies', a measure approved by the central government for such situations.
Ruano explained that, despite the limited time to refine the figures, the road network alone in Tenerife has sustained damages valued at around 12.6 million euros. Given this situation, the Cabildo hopes to secure at least 50% of the necessary resources through state aid for the island's recovery.
