The Cabildo de Tenerife has selected the seven finalists for the XV International Young Designers Contest, who will present their collections on June 4 at the Recinto Ferial, as part of the Island's International Fashion Week.

The designers chosen for this edition come from diverse geographical locations, including Eva Gómez from Vitoria, Yeremay Hidalgo from Gran Canaria, Noé González de la Rosa from Tenerife, Yusef González Perdomo from El Hierro, Ni Luh Desy / IKadek Dode from Indonesia, Johannes Senior Paz from Venezuela, and Leonardo Mena from Mexico. These emerging talents were selected after a rigorous jury deliberation.
The jury meeting took place in the Plenary Hall of the Cabildo, with the presence of Efraín Medina, Councillor for Employment and Education. Medina emphasized the importance of this contest as a crucial platform to promote new careers in the fashion and design sector.

"This initiative represents a great opportunity to showcase the talent of young design and offer an entrepreneurial possibility for all those who want to start in the textile and fashion sector."

The councillor also highlighted the high level of participation in this edition, which received over 70 applications from countries such as Spain, Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, Italy, and Brazil. This influx of talent made the selection of finalists particularly challenging for the jury.
The contest, which is part of the Tenerife Moda program, aims to foster the emergence of new creators and support the professional development of young designers. The jury evaluated the originality, innovation, quality of the designs, their aesthetic coherence, and their commercial viability, as well as their projection within the industry.
