The port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has been filled with faithful since early morning, creating an image of great anticipation for the arrival of Pope Leo XIV. The designated venue, spanning 48,000 square meters, was completely packed just one hour after its opening.
The atmosphere was that of a major popular event, with families, parish groups, and pilgrims finding their spots. Attendees protected themselves from the sun with hats and scarves, many distributed by the organization.

Attention was focused on the awaited image of the Virgin of Candelaria, whose arrival at the altar where the Pope will preside over the Eucharist generated conversation and curiosity among attendees. Her solemn entrance was expected during the animation segment, which would feature performances by Los Sabandeños and Chago Melián.
The day is unfolding with a festive and communal atmosphere, with many attendees expressing surprise at the massive response from the faithful, who have left the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 'packed to the brim' to experience a day that will remain in the collective memory of the Canary Islands.
