The content creator has published a video that has garnered thousands of views, in which she lists various daily situations she claims she has not yet grown accustomed to. Among the most surprising aspects, she highlights the normalcy with which teenagers as young as 15 years old drive vehicles, a custom she still finds shocking.
“"Here you can't walk anywhere."
Another point that has particularly caught her attention is the high dependence on cars in the United States. She explains that in many areas, it is practically impossible to get around on foot, a reality that contrasts sharply with her experience in Tenerife, where she could walk from her home to school, a shopping center, or even a restaurant in less than 20 minutes.
Food also features prominently in her reflections. The young woman notes that portion sizes at fast-food chains are considerably larger than in Spain, though she clarifies that this does not bother her. However, she criticizes the excessive number of ingredients in many American products, considering them over-the-top compared to the simpler options available in the Canary Islands.
Additionally, she mentions a significant difference in the school environment: the requirement to pass through metal detectors to enter educational centers, a security measure she dislikes. Despite the time elapsed since her move, the young woman admits she has not fully adapted to these cultural differences, sparking a wide debate on social media.
