The municipality of El Paso is preparing to celebrate the 2026 Virgen del Pino Festivals, which will take place from August 14 to September 6. The program aims to establish the municipality as a meeting point, combining established events with new proposals.
The agenda includes established events such as the V Hispano-American Watercolor Meeting «Antonio González Suárez», the XLVII Anniversary of A.F. Cumbre Nueva, the XXIX International Music Meeting «Ciudad de El Paso», the IX Rock and Blues Festival, the Classic Vehicle Gathering, and the XXXV Insular Fair of Native Livestock. Additionally, there will be concerts, exhibitions, children's and youth activities, tournaments, and liturgical celebrations.
Mayor Eloy Martín Barreto highlighted that the festivals are a time for reunion and hospitality, reaffirming the pride of belonging to a town that cherishes its traditions. He noted that the festivals are evolving while looking to the future without forgetting their roots.
For her part, the Councilor for Culture and Festivals, Irinova Hernández, emphasized the months of work and the involvement of associations, neighborhood groups, security forces, municipal staff, and volunteers in offering participatory festivals true to the municipality's identity.
The City Council invites the people of La Palma and visitors to enjoy these celebrations, which once again reaffirm the commitment of El Paso's residents to their cultural richness, heritage, and way of understanding coexistence.
