The El Paso City Council, in collaboration with the Atlético Paso Football School, has launched the El Paso Football Camp 2026, an initiative aimed at children and young people aged 4 to 16 to promote grassroots sports and values.
This camp will take place at the Municipal Football Stadium in two shifts during June. The first session will run from June 15 to 19, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and the second from June 22 to 26, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The closing day will include recreational activities and a communal meal.
The project will be led by Maxi Barrera, the current coach of the club's first team, supported by coaches and monitors from Atlético Paso's youth academy. Participants will enjoy technical training, games, and competitions, combining sports learning with fundamental values such as respect, effort, and camaraderie.
“
"These types of initiatives consolidate El Paso as a municipality committed to grassroots sports and the comprehensive development of our young people. Investing in projects like this is investing in the future and in values, especially at a time when competitive sports activity has concluded."
For his part, Omar Hernández, Sports Councilor, highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for children and young people to grow through sports, with quality activities and local professionals. William Nazco, president of Atlético Paso, emphasized that the camp is a key tool for developing players and individuals within the club's philosophy.
“
"We have designed a camp where the kids not only improve technically but also enjoy football in a dynamic and motivating environment. We want it to be an experience they remember and that helps them continue to grow on and off the field."
Registrations are now open and can be completed through the club's official website. The camp fee is 150 euros, which includes participation in both weeks and the official kit, consisting of a shirt and shorts.
