Festival Cadenza Returns to El Paso with Spanish Music Gala

The Plaza Francisca de Gazmira will host the free event this Thursday, September 3rd, featuring the Banda Sinfónica Ciudad de El Paso and the Coral Polifónica Nuestra Señora del Pino.

The El Paso City Council invites citizens to the Spanish Music Gala of the Cadenza Festival, taking place this Thursday, September 3rd, at 9:00 PM in the Plaza Francisca de Gazmira with free admission.

This year's edition of the festival will present a journey through various genres and compositions linked to Spanish music, including symphonic works, zarzuela, pasodobles, and lyrical repertoire.
The event will feature the participation of the Banda Sinfónica Ciudad de El Paso, conducted by José Manuel Cerveró, and the Coral Polifónica Nuestra Señora del Pino, under the direction of Anelio Gibrán. Soprano Rosina Herrera, tenor Abián Lázaro, and dancer La Niña de la Isla will also perform.
The mayor of El Paso, Eloy Martín, highlighted the importance of this festival for showcasing local talent and recognizing the work of the municipal Band and Choir. The Councilor for Culture and Festivals, Irinova Hernández, thanked the participating guest artists and encouraged everyone to enjoy the evening.
The program includes pieces such as «Danzas Fantásticas» by Joaquín Turina, selections from zarzuela like «La Tabernera del Puerto» by Pablo Sorozábal, and «Carmen» by Georges Bizet, among others.
