The Candelaria City Council will hold an event on Friday, October 23rd, at 6:00 PM, at the Rosendo Alonso Tapia Pavilion, to recognize the athletes and clubs from the municipality who achieved significant successes during the 2025-2026 season.

The Department of Sports has called on the public to ensure that all eligible athletes are included. Those who are not yet on the list can contact via email at deportes2@candelaria.es or by calling extension 4119 at the department. They are asked to provide the athlete's name, a contact phone number, their sport, category, and the achievement obtained.
The aim of this initiative is to have all these individuals present at the event and to foster synergy among the local athletes and clubs. The selection of honorees will be based on specific criteria valuing achievements in various competitions.
The criteria for recognition include: individual athletes from clubs registered in Candelaria who placed in the top three in island or regional championships, or in the top eight in Spanish, European, or international championships. Teams or groups of athletes from registered Candelaria clubs who achieve these same positions in the same competitions will also be recognized, as will Candelaria athletes competing independently who obtain similar achievements or are selected for regional or national teams in their category and sport.
