The Iskali Dance Company, from Saltillo (Mexico), performed a preview of their repertoire, which will be showcased on the festival's main stage. The performance offered attendees a glimpse of what to expect at the main event.
Francisco Pinto, councilor for Institutional Relations of the Candelaria City Council, attended the event. Pinto conveyed the Council's gratitude to both groups for their work and for bringing folklore to the municipality's towns.
Special recognition was given to the Chajoigo Folklore Group, whose coordination efforts have been key to organizing this event, which has become a staple of the Candelaria summer.
The 4th Villa de Candelaria International Folklore Festival will take place on Wednesday, August 12th, starting at 9:30 PM, in the parking lot opposite the City Council building. The Chajoigo Folklore Group and the Iskali Dance Company will perform again. The event will be presented by Eva García.
This festival is part of the events honoring the Virgen de Candelaria, the Patron Saint of the Canary Islands.
