Candelaria Celebrates Carmen Festival with Over 600 Kilos of Sardines

The town of Candelaria celebrated the traditional Popular Sardine Feast and Day of Carmen Dance last Thursday, July 16, bringing together hundreds of residents in the Plaza de Los Pescadores.

During the festive day, which lasted from 7:00 PM to midnight, more than 600 kilos of sardines were served to attendees. The event is part of the Feast of the Virgen del Carmen, the patron saint of fishermen.
The celebration included a mass in honor of the Virgen del Carmen, which was previously held at the Parish Church of Santa Ana.
Musical entertainment was provided by Banda Cepillao, Orquesta Columbia, and DJ Chris G. The evening also featured the participation of Radio Rumberos, creating an atmosphere of good spirits and neighborhood participation.
