The Candelaria City Council has announced temporary traffic cuts scheduled for this Saturday, July 17th, due to the passage of the II Rallye Ciudad de La Laguna.

The regional sporting event will involve traffic restrictions on several island and municipal roads between approximately 3:45 PM and 7:30 PM. Residents are advised to plan their journeys in advance and follow the instructions of security agents and event staff at all times.
Timed section 7, named Los Loros, will affect the island road TF-523 (Teide ascent via Arafo) from 3:45 PM to 6:45 PM. This section will not directly impact municipal roads in Candelaria, except for occasional access to private properties.
Subsequently, timed section 8, Candelaria (Los Peneras – TF-247), will cause road closures on the island road TF-247 (Los Peneras) between 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
Municipal roads with alternative access have been established, including Calle Chicoro, Calle Seifón, Calle La Herradura, and Calle San Antonio, which will require detours via alternative routes.
Other roads such as Calle Vence, Calle Lomo Juan Díaz, Camino El Guarrajo, the road up to Malpaís, Calle Niaza, Calle La Sabinita, and Calle Agustiniano, among other direct accesses to roads TF-247 and TF-28, will have no alternative access during the closure.
The Candelaria City Council thanks the public for their understanding and cooperation regarding any inconvenience caused by this official sporting event, which will be supervised by security and emergency services.
