Transport company TITSA has announced the availability of 20,000 additional seats to facilitate access to the Fiestas del Socorro in Güímar, taking place on September 7th and 8th. This initiative is part of a special plan to manage attendee mobility.
Eulalia García, Mobility Counselor for the Cabildo of Tenerife, highlighted the significance of public transport, noting that nearly 15,000 people were transported during these two days last year. García emphasized the effort to provide a "comfortable, practical, and efficient" service, enabling attendees to enjoy this celebration with deep historical, cultural, and religious roots in Tenerife.
To manage the demand, TITSA will launch special line 530, connecting the Güímar Station with El Socorro. On Sunday, September 7th, this line will operate from approximately 04:15 to 21:00. On Monday, September 8th, the service will run from 08:00 to 21:00.
Furthermore, line 120 (connecting Santa Cruz de Tenerife with Güímar Station) will have reinforced services between Puertito de Güímar and Güímar Station. This enhancement will be active from 04:30 to 09:00 on September 7th, extending its route to Rigoberto Díaz Melero street. Line 120 will also serve El Socorro in both directions on both days.
Last year, special line 530 carried 4,595 passengers, while line 120 transported 10,270 individuals, totaling 14,865 travelers during the special operation.
Line 033 will also see service enhancements on the 7th, with extra trips from Fasnia to Güímar. Line 121 will maintain its regular schedule, connecting Candelaria with El Socorro and Güímar. A special stop will be established at El Socorro for lines 530 and 120, while stop 8094 El Socorro will be out of service.
Due to road closures on Obispo Pérez Cáceres avenue, line 032 will alter its route on September 7th, using the TF-28, La Hidalga, and TF-281 to access and exit Güímar Station. Line 035 will also be diverted on its 06:15 journey, operating via the TF-61, TF-1, and TF-281.
