A total of 33 women from Los Realejos have completed the tenth edition of the social employment plan ‘Forma Empleo 10’, a program that has combined training in key competencies with the performance of gardening, construction, street cleaning, and forestry worker tasks.

The participants, hired as trainee workers, have been attached to the program since late 2025, divided into two groups. The objective has been to improve their employability and skills for future socio-labor insertion, while simultaneously reinforcing the services of the municipal public company Realserv.
The mayor of Los Realejos, Adolfo González, and the Councilor for Municipal Services, Domingo García, welcomed the participants in the Town Hall's Plenary Hall. The mayor highlighted the program's importance, which for the tenth consecutive year has become a reality thanks to the City Council's application to the Canary Islands Employment Service.
González emphasized the program's dual objective: the employability of the participants and the improvement of their skills through training and guidance content. Both he and García expressed their gratitude for the women's predisposition and diligence in the tasks they carried out, which have notably enhanced the scope of municipal public services.
In the training component, participants received classes in key competencies such as Language, Mathematics, and English, reaching level 2 or 3 in some cases, as well as labor orientation. The project has had an investment of 373,142.19 euros, largely funded by the Canary Islands Employment Service.
