Starting this Thursday, La Orotava will be affected by a heat episode that will bring thermal inversion to the north of the island, which will gradually descend. Warm and dry conditions are expected in mid-altitude areas and summits.
In light of this situation, lighting fires in forest fire risk zones is prohibited, as is the use of stoves in the La Caldera Recreational Area and setting off fireworks in risk areas.
The Municipal Recreational Areas of El Bosquito and El Rincon will remain open as normal. The importance of public cooperation in preventing fires is reminded.
