The El Cabezo beach hosted the entry of the world's best riders in the Wind&Waves Festival, defining the men's quarterfinals and women's semifinals of the PWA/WWT World Championship.

The men's competition at the Wind&Waves Festival offered no surprises, with the main favorites overcoming their heats and setting up high-level quarterfinals in the waves of El Cabezo. Alongside title contenders, young talents like the Gran Canarian Carlos Kiefer Quintana and El Médano-based rider Julian Salmon also shone.
In the women's category, the top five ranked world surfers secured their spots in the semifinals. German leader Maria Behrens continues in the title race, joined by compatriot Lina Erpenstein, Belgium's Sol Degrieck, France's Marine Hunter, and Switzerland's Pauline Katz. The semifinals are completed by the legendary multiple world champion Sarah-Quita Offringa and Gran Canarian Alexia Kiefer Quintana, the sole Spanish contender.
The day also saw new champions crowned in the junior categories. In ProJunior Boys, Carlos Kiefer Quintana from Gran Canaria took the win with an excellent score of 18.82. In Junior Boys, Germany's Peter Gobisch claimed victory with 17.62 points.
If wind conditions remain favorable, Wednesday could see the decisive final rounds in the top category, where the planet's best riders will vie for a place in the history books of one of the most prestigious events on the international windsurfing calendar.
