The Gran Canaria Stadium could host a UD Las Palmas promotion playoff match on June 10th, thus avoiding a conflict with the Pope's visit.

The schedules for the promotion playoffs to the First Division have been confirmed by LaLiga, resolving the uncertainty about a potential clash between the Pope's mass and a home match for Unión Deportiva. The only possibility for the Gran Canarian team to play at home on June 10th, the date scheduled for the papal visit, is if they play their match the day before.
UD Las Palmas still needs to secure their qualification for the promotion playoffs, awaiting the result of their match against Deportivo de La Coruña. However, according to the calendar set by the football governing body, the team managed by Luis García could only play at home on June 10th if they finish the regular season in fourth place.
The promotion playoff pairings stipulate that the tie between the sixth and third-placed teams will be played on Saturday, June 6th, at 8:00 PM, with the return leg on Tuesday, June 9th, at the same time. Meanwhile, the match between the fourth and fifth-placed teams will take place on Sunday, June 7th, and Wednesday, June 10th, also at 8:00 PM, with home advantage going to the team that finished higher in the regular season standings for each tie.
The promotion final, which will pit the winners of both ties against each other, will be played over two legs on Sunday, June 14th, and Saturday, June 20th. Currently, UD Las Palmas occupies fifth place in the standings with one match remaining in the regular season.
