Agents of the National Police have arrested a man in Telde accused of drug trafficking, who operated a sales point from his home using a peculiar basket system for transactions.

The investigation, carried out by the Narcotics Judicial Police Group during the second half of March, allowed agents to confirm the existence of an active retail drug sales point. This focused mainly on the distribution of cocaine and crack cocaine.
Surveillance and control efforts by the agents led to the detection of several illicit transactions, which corroborated the individual's criminal activity.
The modus operandi employed by the detainee caught the attention of investigators. The man conducted sales from his home, located on an upper floor. Buyers, from the street, would ring the intercom, and the seller would use a basket attached to ropes to exchange the substance for money, thus avoiding direct contact. This method, according to the National Police, allowed him to expedite transactions due to a disability that limited his mobility.
The home search, carried out on April 23, resulted in the seizure of 10 grams of cocaine, 54 doses of crack cocaine, anabolic steroids, 285 euros in cash, and various tools intended for the preparation, dosage, and distribution of the narcotic substances. The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
