The artist, who describes herself as a highly eclectic vinyl music selector, covers genres ranging from jazz and rock and roll to funk, afrobeat, and salsa. Her foray into DJing began in 2017 when she proposed to a friend to form a duo, driven by their mutual love for vinyl music.
The origin of her artistic name dates back to a bar she ran years ago in the Valle de Aridane, in La Palma, called Sargento Pimienta. In this establishment, frequented by musicians, her customers and friends began calling her Señora Pimienta, a nickname she adopted for her musical career.

Among her essential tracks, she highlights Hold On, I’m Comin’ in the version by Machito & His Orchestra feat. Graciela, a song that, she confesses, never fails in her sets. The DJ also shared a curious anecdote about an occasion when she was chased by a group of Polish hairdressers to play a track by a well-known reggaeton artist.
When asked about a musical wish, the artist expressed her desire to DJ at any Womad festival on the planet. Furthermore, she revealed one of the “craziness” she has done for her love of music: flying to Fuerteventura for a set and immediately returning to fulfill her work commitments. Outside of music, yoga has become an essential part of her life, bringing her well-being and benefits for her mental and emotional health. Currently, she combines her passion for music with her profession as a chef in a restaurant.
