The public company Metrotenerife is launching its usual summer schedule for the tram service on the island this Monday. This measure is adopted annually to adapt the transport offer to passenger needs during the summer months.
Starting on the same date, Line 1 will operate during peak hours on weekdays with frequencies of 6 minutes, while Line 2 will run every 12 minutes. It is important to note that the summer schedule will only apply from Monday to Friday. Weekends and holidays will maintain their usual frequencies and schedules, with uninterrupted service throughout the night.
The first phase of the summer schedule, running from June 29 to July 5, will see Line 1 operating every 6 minutes between 07:00 and 15:00. Subsequently, intervals will be extended to 7 and 15 minutes until the end of service at midnight. Line 2 will follow a similar pattern, with trams every 12 minutes during the same hours, followed by 15-minute intervals.
Between July 6 and August 30, a further adjustment to the service will be made. On weekdays, Line 1 will offer a frequency of 7 minutes and Line 2 of 14 minutes, primarily.
The return to the winter schedule will be carried out progressively starting from the first week of September.
