The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has released the forecast for this Saturday in the Canary Islands, highlighting a slight increase in minimum temperatures and the presence of cloudy intervals across the archipelago.

Light and occasional rainfall is expected in the northern areas of the higher relief islands, while the trade winds will increase in intensity during the afternoon hours. This situation will affect both the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas.
In the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the western islands will experience variable cloudiness. In Tenerife, skies will show cloudy intervals with a low probability of scattered light rain. Temperatures will remain stable, with a slight rise in minimums in low-lying areas. In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, thermometers will range between 17 and 24 degrees Celsius. The trade wind will be light, but will pick up in the afternoon on the eastern slope and the far northwest.
For La Palma, cloudy skies are expected with possible light rain, especially in the northeast. Temperatures will hardly vary, staying between 17 and 21 degrees Celsius in the capital. In La Gomera, overcast skies will be recorded in the north with occasional precipitation, and the wind will gain strength at the end of the day on the eastern and northwestern slopes. Finally, in El Hierro, the predominance of clouds in the north will mark the day, with isolated showers not ruled out. In Valverde, temperatures will be between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius, with trade winds intensifying as the afternoon progresses.
In the province of Las Palmas, the forecast for Gran Canaria indicates cloudy skies in the north, with the possibility of light and scattered rain. Minimum temperatures will rise slightly, with values between 19 and 22 degrees Celsius in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The trade wind will be occasionally strong on the southeastern and northwestern slopes.
The eastern islands, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, will enjoy cloudy intervals, with a tendency towards clear skies in Fuerteventura during the afternoon. In Arrecife and Puerto del Rosario, temperatures will be between 17 and 23 degrees Celsius. On both islands, the trade wind will blow with occasionally strong gusts.
The sea state in the archipelago will feature north or northeast winds of force four to five, with swell and northwest background sea, with waves reaching a height of between one and two meters. This situation will remain stable for much of Saturday.
