A total of 17 wineries associated with the Regulatory Council of the Lanzarote Designation of Origin of Wines will collaborate in the upcoming edition of the Wine Run, which expects to gather around 2,000 participants on June 13th and 14th.

The initiative, set to unfold across various locations in La Geria, combines sporting activity with the promotion of Lanzarote's wine. At the event's presentation, held at Finca Testeina, it was announced that over 1,800 registrations had already been received, with representation from nearly thirty different nationalities. Registration will remain open via the official website until next Sunday.
Saturday, June 13th, will be dedicated to bib collection and enogastronomic and musical activities in Uga, which will once again serve as the finish line and main meeting point. This day will also host the event for schoolchildren, featuring performances by groups such as Pal Porrón, Sin Cobertura, and a Tribute to Queen.
The second day, Sunday the 14th, will commence at dawn with the transfer of participants to the starting points. The main 23-kilometer race will begin from bodegas La Florida in San Bartolomé, while the walk and the 12-kilometer race will start from Finca Testeina, located in the municipality of Tías.
A large crowd is anticipated around midday on Sunday, coinciding with a musical event featuring performances by Al Golpito, Delorean, and Parchita Coloraa, followed by the awards ceremony. Following tradition since the first edition in 2009, the two winners will receive a prize equivalent to their weight in bottles of Lanzarote wines.
