The Department of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands has announced a significant expansion of Vocational Training offerings in Fuerteventura for the next academic year, incorporating new intermediate and higher-level qualifications, dual degrees, and specialization courses.

This expansion aims to bring Vocational Training closer to the educational community of Fuerteventura, better distributing education across different areas and responding to the needs of the island's productive sector. The opening of the Integrated Vocational Training Center (CIFP) in Morro Jable, within the municipality of Pájara, has been crucial for the south of the island, reducing travel distances of over one hundred kilometers for students and improving equal opportunities for accessing these studies.
Among the new additions, the Agricultural family includes the cycles of Agroecological Production and Livestock Production, along with Auxiliary Activities in Agriculture, thereby strengthening the primary sector. In Commerce and Marketing, Food Product Commercialization, Commercial Activities, Marketing and Advertising (blended learning), and the dual degree in Sales and Commercial Space Management and Marketing and Advertising are added.
Other strategic sectors also benefit. In Installation and Maintenance, Maintenance of Thermal and Fluid Installations is introduced. For Hospitality and Tourism, the offer includes Tourist Accommodation Management and the dual degree in Kitchen Management and Restaurant Service Management. The Sociocultural and Community Services branch incorporates Sociocultural and Tourist Animation and Social Integration.
Additionally, adapted training itineraries such as Basic Floor Operations in Accommodations and Basic Restaurant and Bar Operations have been added, along with a specialization course in Maintenance of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles. The offer is completed with the dual degree in Administration and Finance and Assistance to Management, strengthening the Administration and Management family and diversifying qualification options across the island's economy.
