CV Guaguas has secured their fifth men's Superliga volleyball title by decisively defeating Melilla in the final played at the Arena.

The Gran Canaria team, coached by Sergio Miguel Camarero, sealed their victory in the Superliga playoff final with an overwhelming performance, winning both matches swiftly and without conceding a single set to their opponent. The final concluded with a 3-0 scoreline in the second home match, clinching the league crown.
Despite boasting the largest budget in the league, Guaguas demonstrated that the pressure and demands are high, as evidenced by their unexpected stumble in the Copa del Rey. However, in the league, the team displayed remarkable consistency.
The victory was a collective effort, with Walla being recognized as the MVP. Nevertheless, Io de Amo's playmaking and the defensive solidity of Martín Ramos and Hélder Spencer were crucial. In attack, Osmany Juantorena, Walla, and Nico Bruno crushed Melilla's hopes, with Federico Martina being their top scorer with 14 points.
Key players throughout the season, such as Colito and Rousseaux, also saw court time, reinforcing the team's sense of unity. Captain Jorge Almansa, the sole survivor from the team refounded in 2020, leads this project that carries the competitive spirit of the former Calvo Sotelo.
Guaguas represents not only volleyball and Gran Canaria but also a non-conformist spirit that aims to compete with top European clubs. This ethos, driven by its president, is akin to a constant pursuit of new challenges.
The match concluded with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-16, to the delight of the home crowd who celebrated the achievement of another title.
