The National Police have arrested an individual with more than 20 prior arrests as the alleged perpetrator of a forceful robbery. The incident occurred on the night of July 29, when the detainee, already under precautionary measures for another robbery offense, broke the glass door of a premises in the aforementioned shopping center to steal items.
Upon receiving the alert, several patrols were dispatched to the scene and located a man nearby carrying three bags from the establishment while waiting for a bus. Inside, officers found three cash boxes, each containing 150 euros for change, along with other effects belonging to the store.
CCTV footage from the shopping center confirmed the individual entering the premises, staying for several minutes, and leaving with the bags containing the stolen cash boxes. Upon recognizing the man waiting for public transport in the recordings and verifying the items, he was arrested.
It was confirmed that the detainee has an "extensive police record" for various criminal acts. Once the police proceedings are completed, the arrested individual will be handed over to the competent judicial authority.
