The president of Balearia Canarias, Adolfo Utor, along with company executives, welcomed authorities and social representatives from La Gomera aboard the brand-new ship. The vessel, named in honor of the Spanish oceanographer Pepita Castellví, joins the routes connecting the island with Tenerife and La Palma.

Onboard amenities include a children's play area, two bars-cafeterias, a shop, free Internet access, a digital entertainment platform, and a pet video surveillance system. The interior design emphasizes spaciousness and separation between seats, complemented by a stabilization system for enhanced comfort, a floating superstructure, and high-tech insulation.
