The Socialist Group in Garafía has expressed deep concern over the direction of local politics, labeling the actions of the municipal government as a "circus" that demonstrates a lack of knowledge and institutional respect.

Following the latest plenary session, the PSOE issued a statement detailing "grotesque" situations, such as the municipal government itself posing fifty questions to the opposition regarding previous administrations' management.

It is regrettable that they do not even respect the institutional moment of control and oversight that corresponds to the opposition in plenary sessions, bringing up past issues, many of them remote, to hide their absolute lack of management in the present of our municipality.

The socialists also highlighted the "grotesque scene" of the Government questioning those without executive responsibilities, which, in their view, shows confusion about the role of each actor within the Corporation.

Those who are unable to respond to their management in plenary to the questions posed by the opposition, in their legitimate oversight role, trivialize the institutional role that corresponds to them, which is none other than to account for their work, if any of that exists, of course.

In addition to this attempted role reversal, the plenary witnessed another "surreal" situation: councilors from the Government Group abstained from motions that, according to their own statements, they did not want to pass. Paradoxically, these abstentions resulted in the approval of said initiatives.
The Socialist Group concludes by warning that public management requires preparation, knowledge, and responsibility, and regrets that the current Government Group of Villa de Garafía still fails to master the basic rules of institutional functioning, offering citizens an "unexplainable spectacle" instead of serious management.
