Lanzarote Wines Triumph at International Awards Virtus with Two Prestigious Accolades

Two wines with Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) from Lanzarote have been honored at the 2026 edition of the International Awards Virtus, a prestigious international competition recognizing wine quality.

The Regulatory Council of the DOP Vinos de Lanzarote has celebrated the excellent results achieved by the island's wines in this competition, considered one of the most relevant worldwide. The awards highlight the unique nature of the island's heroic viticulture.
In this edition, the Lágrima de Malvasía Volcánica winery was the protagonist, securing two significant recognitions. Its wine Lágrima de Malvasía Volcánica received a Grand Gold medal in the white wine category, while Lágrima de Listán Negro was awarded a Gold medal in the red wine category.
