The Canary Islands are experiencing a day of meteorological stability with mostly clear skies and a slight increase in temperatures, while the Iberian Peninsula braces for severe storms.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has released its forecast for today, highlighting a calm outlook for the Canary Islands. This situation stands in stark contrast to the orange alerts and storms affecting much of the peninsular territory.
Across the archipelago, the day will be characterized by minimal cloud cover, the presence of high cloud intervals, and a slight rise in temperatures in specific areas. Maximum temperatures are expected to increase slightly, particularly on the southeast-facing coasts.
The highest temperatures will be recorded in Tenerife and Fuerteventura, where they are expected to reach 25 degrees Celsius. Conversely, the archipelago's minimum temperature will be 13 degrees Celsius on the island of El Hierro. The morning began with clear skies or high clouds, although Aemet warns of potential daytime cloud development in the interior of the western islands and the appearance of low clouds on the northern slopes during the early and late hours of the day.
Regarding sea conditions, winds of force 3 to 5 from the northeast are anticipated, with areas of swell and northwest groundswell, with waves potentially reaching up to two meters. This calm in the Canary Islands occurs parallel to a low-pressure system on the Peninsula, where eight autonomous communities are under storm and hail warnings, with Navarra at an orange level for significant accumulated rainfall.
