From this Thursday until next Sunday, May 3, the historic quarter of Gáldar hosts the sixth edition of 'Gáldar en Flor', an initiative that fills the main streets of the municipality with color and life.

The official inauguration of 'Gáldar en Flor' took place this Thursday, marking the beginning of a new installment featuring thousands of flowers and plants. These specially decorate Capitán Quesada street and the vicinity of Santiago square, offering a true natural spectacle.
Organized by the Parks and Gardens Department of the Gáldar City Council, this edition showcases a wide variety of floral species, including geraniums, daisies, sunflowers, hydrangeas, ferns, petunias, gerberas, and impatiens. This year's theme, as depicted on the poster, evokes classic elements of spring and traditional square festivities, such as Ferris wheels, carousels, and windmills.
'Gáldar en Flor' has established itself as the spring version of the 'Flower Week', which is celebrated in December. This initiative takes advantage of the botanical richness of May to dress the town center in spring colors, using flowers and plants cultivated in various nurseries.
This year's exhibition features plants from nurseries such as Godoy S.L., Poinsettias de Canarias S.L., and Viveros Gáldar S.L., in addition to the municipal nursery. Corsua also collaborates on artificial turf work, and Canaragua Medio Ambiente. It is expected that the artistic and creative novelties, along with the botanical diversity, will attract thousands of visitors to Gáldar's historic quarter.
