The Vallehermoso City Council has positively assessed the incorporation of new actions in the municipality, within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Cabildo de La Gomera and the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands, aimed at improving educational infrastructure.

The new annual period of the agreement will allow for investments in CEO Vallehermoso totaling 370,000 euros. Among the planned actions are the replacement of the sports hall roof at the educational center, with an investment of 70,000 euros, as well as the comprehensive upgrade of the electrical installations, which will receive 300,000 euros.

"These actions are the result of the coordination and monitoring work that has been carried out by the City Council together with the other administrations involved to continue improving the educational infrastructure of the municipality."

Furthermore, it was highlighted that the municipal government team maintains a consistent focus on the progressive improvement of public services and spaces dedicated to education, understanding that adequate and updated facilities are fundamental to guaranteeing quality education.
In this regard, improvements made to the Vallehermoso Infant School, CEIP Alojera, and CEIP Temocodá were recalled, in addition to ongoing interventions in the municipality's playgrounds. Reference was also made to the new municipal sports court, conditioned in June 2025, which has enhanced sports and leisure facilities for the municipality's children and youth.
The City Council continues to develop actions aimed at the conservation, adaptation, and improvement of public spaces linked to education, childhood, and sports practice, as part of a municipal plan focused on the progressive maintenance and modernization of the municipality's infrastructure.
