The Agustín Ramírez Alemán Municipal Public Library, located in El Carrizal, has launched the 'Impulsando en Digital' program, a free initiative for individuals over 45 years old aimed at strengthening their technological skills and online safety.

This proposal, driven by the CajaCanarias Foundation in collaboration with the Ingenio City Council through its Libraries Department, primarily seeks to reduce the digital divide and facilitate citizens' access to new technologies.
The program's first session focused on everyday digital procedures, covering aspects such as the use of digital certificates, PIN keys, and other essential tools for conducting administrative tasks online. The training was delivered by a specialized IT instructor.
The second and final session of the course is scheduled for May 13, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This session will address crucial topics related to cybersecurity and the prevention of online scams, providing practical tools for safe browsing.
With this initiative, the organization aims to empower participants to use information and communication technologies safely and responsibly. The program promotes personal autonomy and digital inclusion through practical and adapted training, reinforcing the role of municipal libraries as learning and community support centers beyond reading.
