The town of El Tablero, in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, has inaugurated T-8 Square, a new 6,000-square-meter venue designed to host fairs, markets, and various outdoor activities.

This space, located next to Francisco Vega Monroy Avenue, has transformed a plot that was disused and showed significant physical and landscape deterioration. The total investment for this project amounted to 547,451 euros, fully funded through the Gran Canaria Cabildo Cooperation Plan.
The inauguration took place in a festive atmosphere, with the attendance of local authorities and representatives from the Gran Canaria Cabildo. Residents and families enjoyed children's activities, a gastronomic area, and an agricultural and artisan market, enlivened by musical performances from Parranda A Kal y Canto, Dj. Marre, and the Latin music group Nueva Línea.
The works included a comprehensive renovation of the land, with leveling, installation of new paving adapted for public events, renewed lighting, and improvements in accessibility and safety. Green areas were also enhanced with new plantings and an irrigation system, in addition to incorporating a rainwater drainage network and improving the waste container area.

T-8 Square is born with the aim of becoming a reference point for the social and economic revitalization of El Tablero.

This new venue seeks to strengthen community spaces in the municipality and decentralize part of the social and festive activity, responding to local demand for infrastructure that promotes community development and improves the urban environment of El Tablero.
