CD Tenerife, having secured its promotion to Segunda División and being crowned champion of its group in Primera Federación, is preparing to play the three remaining matches of the season, which will serve to close a successful cycle.

The team from Tenerife has achieved its main objective for the campaign by mathematically securing the leadership in its group, thus guaranteeing its return to professional football. This milestone was confirmed last Friday, May 1, after the defeat of Celta Fortuna, which turned the subsequent match against Barakaldo into a celebration, culminating in a 2-0 victory.
Despite the euphoria of promotion, the team must maintain focus for its remaining commitments. The first of these will be this Saturday, when they travel to Salamanca to face Unionistas, an opponent still fighting for a playoff spot.
Subsequently, on Sunday, May 17, CD Tenerife will return to the Heliodoro Rodríguez López to play against Pontevedra, who are in fifth place and looking to consolidate their promotion positions. Finally, the team will close the season away against Ourense, a club fighting to avoid relegation to Segunda Federación.
It is worth noting that, unlike previous seasons, Primera Federación will have two group champions this year, as the RFEF has eliminated the champions' final. CD Tenerife already holds one of these titles, which reduces the match load and allows the club to fully focus on its planning for the next season in Segunda División.
