Santa Cruz de Tenerife is preparing to pay tribute to Michael Jackson on June 6th, reliving the memory of his historic concert on the island 33 years ago.

The Tinerfeño capital will host a party to commemorate the visit of the 'King of Pop', who performed on September 26th, 1993, to an audience of over 50,000. This event is part of Discos Manzana's initiatives for the launch of their book ‘50 años de Discos Manzana‘, under the ‘Manzana 50 Proyectos’ program.
The celebration will take place around the El Águila restaurant and at Blous&Music Tienda, aiming to relive one of the peak moments in music history in the Canary Islands. Discos Manzana played a crucial role in that concert, having sold 40,000 tickets.

"Michael Jackson's music remains alive, even though he is no longer with us, and his presence on the Island, too."

Cristina Mantecón Santana · Director of Mafasca Art Gallery and Audiovisual Studies Center
Cristina Mantecón Santana highlighted in an interview that Michael Jackson's performance in Tenerife was a milestone for music throughout Spain. The organization has announced that the first 100 invitations, priced at 15 euros and including a drink, will come with commemorative gifts: a poster, a special keychain, and a replica of the original ticket.
This gathering is designed for fans of the iconic artist who still remember the impact of his visit to the island. More than three decades later, the concert remains one of the most massive and memorable musical events in the Canary Islands.
