The local government has allocated 254,724.22 euros to these works, which respond to a request from the board of Unión Deportiva Realejos. The mayor, Adolfo González, and the Councilor for Public Works, Darío Pérez, visited the start of the work on Monday, August 10, which includes the foundation of the two buildings.
The mayor highlighted that the intervention represents a "substantial improvement in the services" of the municipal sports facility. The Department of Sports and the Projects and Works Unit have agreed on the project with the club.
The new modules will be located in the open space behind the goal facing Calle Viera y Clavijo. As explained by Darío Pérez, the works will be carried out in the coming months without affecting the sporting activity on the field, allowing Unión Deportiva Realejos to start the 2026-2027 season normally.
One of the buildings will house accessible public restrooms (including a distributor, women's, men's, and disabled-accessible restrooms) covering an area of approximately 32.50 square meters. The other module will be a multipurpose room with a usable area of 97.60 square meters, which will also serve as a terrace for the stadium's canteen.
